→   Dorchester Collection became a unified collection of ultra luxury hotels in 2007 and needed a website that would represents their status and forward-thinking culture, marrying the legacy of the old with the innovation of the new.

Stand out from the crowd

→   They wanted a website that was both fuctional (driving conversion) and category defining (a big challenge). So we approahced the style in a completely different way, starting with a visual workshop and treating it less like a web design project. We had to get in the heads of the client like never before. The result is something that stands out amound the luxury hotel sector.

Traditional elegance and modern style

→   Due to the amount of legends that have spent time at their hotels and the amount of stories that have formed at them, there was a lot of heritage that needed to be harnessed. To ensure not to lose this, we made it the central aesthetic and narrative. To help us do this we injected their brand with a sense of traditional elegance and modern style, which created something that's unique and stands out amount competitors.

All under one roof

→   One of the challenges was to reinforce the Dorchester Collection brand whilst retaining the personality of each unique and famous hotel brand. So we created a series of abstract illustration that take on a colour palette associated to each hotel and artworked them to offer a sense of heritage. These illustrations are use across the site to infuse it with the icons that live under the hero brand.

That extra bit of flair

→   A major part of the site live within the micro interactions, bring the site to life and further engaging the user. All interactions were made in Figma to allow the client to get a true sense of whilst using the prototypes. This paid off when getting ideas approved, and keep them on their toes.
